The answer is Yes.  

You can add athletes up to the maximum number in your current division.  As long as it doesn’t change your size or division.  For example, if you have 17 athletes on the team, you can add up to 22 athletes without impacting your current bid. 

You could not add an athlete that changes the team from either All Girl or Coed.  This would require a new bid to be earned.
